Also called the Toyota Kluger, the Toyota Highlander is a mid-sized crossover SUV, introduced in the 2001 model year, built on 5-door SUV body style. The Highlander sports a front engine with a front wheel drive or all wheel drive layout. The first generation (2001-07)
Highlander runs on 3.0 L 1MZ-FE V6 and 3.3 L 3MZ-FE V6 engines which produce power amounting to 220 hp (164 kW) and 225 hp (172 kW) respectively, and is driven by 4-speed and 5-speed automatic transmission system. Wheelbase of this model is 106.9 inches. The second generation (2008-13) model is propelled by 3.5 L 2GR-FE V6 standard and 3.3 L 3MZ-FE V6 and 3.5 L 2GR-FXE V6 hybrid engines. Transmission comes as a choice between a 5-speed and 6-speed automatic. Wheelbase is 109.8 inches.
