Introduction

Plymouth Voyageris one of the best cars and had run during the year 1984-2000. The two different vans, which were manufactured by Chrysler Corporation and sold under the Plymouth brandis used for  mini van and caravan. In the year 1974- 1980 the brand was Plymouth. Voyager name was given to a minivan in the year 1984. It was also manufactured by Chrysler. The last manufactured car was availed in 3door or a 4 doorminivan.

Models OfPlymouth Voyager

Voyager was classified in 4 different generations. The First Generation was introduced in the year 1984 and named minivan, its capacity was carrying 12-15 passengers at atime. This was also known as mid-grade SE and High end LE and LX models were added in 1989. In the year 1996, Luxury LE models were introduced and a lot of new features had introduced.

These were deluxe for passenger and slide windows give it a nice look. The back portion had a cushion and some added feature of comfortable of seat known as Magic Camper.

·         It was a 3 door minivan and Powertrain to 3.3 L EGA.

·         Powerful engines were changed to make the car perfect every time. Thus, from K14 96 hp to EGA V6, 150 hp in 3.3 L and Mitsubishi 6G72V6 for 3.0 L.           

·         Fog lamps, alloy wheels along with power operated feature of wide array.

·         Two tone paint along with luxury oriented.

·         Some changes and innovations made in the second generation.

·         The QuadCommand bucket seat was developed.

·         All four drive wheels gave a perfect satisfaction to the drivers. The airbag for safety was also introduced for drivers.

·         The Integrated Child safety seat also provides improved design.

·         Rallye model was provided to give a new look to the second generation car.

·         In the third generation a driver side slide door was introduced along with that, standard power window and lock, Infinity sound system, sparkle silver alloy wheels also make this car perfect for the owner.

·         The most prominent change was “easy out roller seat”.  Along with that, the CD player was introduced and also a grocery bag hook was introduced.

·         The Air conditioner was also equipped to make the vehicle more comfortable for the customers. A rear seat video system for entertainment had been started to availed. In the year 1999 a 3.8 L EGH V6 engine had made it some extraordinary capacity of the engine.

The last version with 3.3L V6had 158 horsepowerand 203 pound feet of torque. The fuel economy of this minivan is the fuel economy of about 18mpg in city and 25 mpg in highway. The front engine used a four speed wheel drive. 3 speed TorqueFlite Automatic and 4 speed 41 TE automatic transmissions had enhanced its demand. 

Fuel Economy

In 1984 manual 5-speed regular gasoline had a speed of 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg in highway. As the models and the capacity changed the speed varies. At the end of 1995 Plymouth Voyager of 6 cyl, 3.8 L automatic 4 speed gasoline had 15mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. For all models and Voyager you can easily see that the speed ranges from minimum 18 to maximum 25mpg.

Safety ratingand technology

The safety technology had made the car perfect for the children as there was a child lock system for that. Child lock gives it a new along with that, sunscreen glasses are provided to make the vehicle perfect for the passengers. This is very much spacious for the passengers. The slide door is there for the safety of the passengers. Air bag safety was also availed for the driver. The power window is also available for all. Power lock was also availed. Still in some countries these cars are available as used car as there is no new car availed with this manufacture brand.
