Mercury Topaz

Ford as a compact car between the years 1984 to 1994 manufactured the Mercury Topaz. This upscale car variety replaced the Mystique by Mercury. The first generation Topaz was built at the CE 14 platform. With a borrowed design from Ford Escort and Tempo’s features such as 4 speed IB4 and FLC automatic with three speed, this model was not a hit. This made Ford to with draw these features immediately in 1985. The aerodynamic feature and usable interior space were amazing about Topaz. In 1992, Topaz was premiered with a facelift and had better features. But the model did not sell well and the last car rolled was on May 1994.
