This mid sized Mercury Montego was introduced in 1967 in Canada. This was available in four styles such as sedan with four doors, two doors with a hard top, convertible and station wagon. Later in 1970, the convertible model was stopped and four door cars with hard tops and wood-grained station wagon were introduced. The Montego were notable for their hood that thrust on the front hood and grille at its centre. The second degeneration was launched at the premiere as a 2005 model. The high usability features were highly appreciated by all the car owners. Later in 2008, Montego was renamed as Sable as it helped in recognizing it better and was introduced in 2007.
