Ford Expedition is SMVs in full size which is spacious in nature and accommodates more than 8 passengers at a time. It has the special feature of third row seat along with such seat back which is power- operated. It can easily folds into the floor and thus leaves the clean place so it can be easily utilized for further use.

The interior of these vehicles are available in different colours that can be taken according to the choice of the customers. It is also having such electronics system which is forward thinking in nature. Along with that; person will enjoy their ride in high quality along with having highway stability. It is also having trailer controller which is fully integrated.

What's New for 2014?

This vehicle is having such features which are found in the other SMVs but it is available for the customers in new style. It is replaced by load levelling rear suspension in place of old air based system

Models and Features

Ford expedition is available in regular wheel base model. It is also known by the name as extended wheelbase models which are available in three levels including XLT along with Kind Ranch and Limited. Main features in these models will include:-

Ø  XLT- This model is having 18 inch wheels along with rear parking sensors and roof rack. It is also having an external security keypad along with cruise control. This is also having the facility of power- adjustable pedals with a seat with power driver.  Apart from that it is also having the facility of Blue tooth and 6 audio systems for speaker. USB connectivity along with iPod facility is provided with auxiliary input.

Ø  Kind Ranch- This model is having an interior of wooden trim which reflects the western style of leather. It is having power running boards along with having second rows of captain chair.

Ø  Limited- This model is having front parking sensors along with having an interior of leather upholstery. It is having the feature of automatic climate control which is in dual zone. It is having the facility of third row which is having the feature of power folding. Audio system which is upgraded with latest technology.

Exterior of these vehicles

Exterior of these vehicles will include skid plates. Tires of alloy and steel spare wheel are also added for attraction. It is also having the special feature of privacy glass. In the interior part it is having the facility of 6 speakers with radio data system along with stereo output of 160 watt. These vehicles are available in different colours that can be taken according to the choice of the customers.

It will also include the option of skid plates along with navigation system. Customers will also come across with the facility of climate controlled seat along with different packages in leather seating.  They are also available in different models which can be taken according to the needs and specification of the customers.

Under the hood, Ford expedition has slightly changed. In order to improve the performance along with improvement in fuel economy traditional 5.4 literV8 has changed to 3.5liter eco boostV6.

Fuel economy

Both the models are fully powered by 5.4 litre V8 engine which is capable of making 310 horse powers along with 365lb-ft of torque. On the other hand four drive models are rated at 12 mpg city/17hwy.

Safety Ratings and Technology

These models are having safety features which includes front along with front side impact along with 3 side curtain airbag. It is also having rollover sensors that are fully activated by the side along with curtain airbags if there is no collision involved. It is also having advance Trac which will help the vehicles from skidding. It will also help the customers in towing where the standard trailer sway can help the person in keeping the items behind the vehicles.

They are having the special feature of remote anti-theft alarm system. The rear doors are having the facility of child safety locks.
