Ford E-350 information:

A Great Way To Organize Your Company- A Powerful Mini Van For All Of  Your Needs

For those who aren’t quite in need of a car, but a minivan, the Ford E-350 would be the name of your solution. At least, partially. This is the sort of a van, for which you could say that it will do what you need it to, but it might not be able to endure through all of the stages of your plan. It is a solid van to be chosen, as it has quite a few features drivers like to see in this sort of a vehicle. On the other hand, it is also missing some of the most important features, so it all really comes down to the buyer’s choice. Although it was released way back in 1996, you can still find that the Ford E series is in production even today.

What are some basic features of this model?

It had been said that this was one of the few models which could perform up to the user’s standard. For example, since many of these vans have typically been purchased as a vehicle used for work, the fact that the Ford E-350 was able to handle as much as 15 people was widely impressive. The van would come with halogen headlights containing conventional lenses, as well as tinted glass, six 12 V power outlets, with three being in front, and three in the back. The interior holds a climate control, a mast antenna, a generic audio system with both AM and FM radio available, six speakers and a ventilation system.

Are there any upgrades available?

Ford E-350 is, surprisingly, open to a lot of customization. While both the exterior and interior design can be changed in many ways, perhaps one of the most important upgrades to consider would be the engine customization. This is very rarely occurring, to have engine upgrades available. In this case, the van could have its existing engine upgraded to a V10 engine, which was estimated to bring it a lot of power and the ability to achieve greater speeds. Other improvements and upgrades can typically be purchased in packages, rather than individually, so you will have access to multiple packages, priced differently. Each of the packages is listed with the upgrades it applies to the van.

What are the engine’s performances?

Originally, the Ford E-350 features the 5.4L EFI Triton® V8 engine. As powerful as it may seem at first, it is evident that it doesn’t quite live up to its name, as the optional engine upgrade has been fairly common among drivers of this type of a van. The engine you would get in the beginning can be used for its purpose. The entire reason there has been a need for a customary upgrade of this sort was to allow drivers a better experience. A passenger – type van like this can’t exactly be seen bolting down the street. And it isn’t supposed to drag down the highway either. So, the engine this model has is somewhere in the middle, to meet both of the versions halfway.

Does it spend a lot of gas?

Fuel consumption is another strong feature of Ford E-350, despite some of the major flaws which may turn potential buyers to explore other options. It has a 33.0 gallon fuel tank. On an average, it spends about 9.1 gal/100mi, which makes it able to pull of long travels. That is just what was taken in mind, considering that this type of van will be work – friendly and equipped to aid companies and business groups with transportation.

How well is it doing, safety – wise?

This is, most likely the weakest link with the Ford E-350. It has no significant safety features and it was rated poorly in terms of safety, which some buyers might find completely unforgivable. The van’s driver and passenger spot have been secured with airbags, but there are no other safety measures involved. This is a large mishap, as every car, or van of this sort needs to be secure. It is meant to transport a lot of people, and if an accident occurs, there is no telling what might happen if maximum safety isn’t ensured. Overall, this is the point where buyers might not be so sure about purchasing this model, and for all of the right reasons.

The Conclusion

It seems that the Ford E-350 reached mixed feelings. On one hand, you have a perfectly balanced work based vehicle, while on the other hand, the safety has been thrown aside completely in favor of virtually nothing. Of course, with a little bit of care from the driver, the safety issues can be fought over and it seems to be worth it, as the van itself provides a lot of useful features one couldn’t ignore.

All in all, it is a good choice for people who might want to consider getting a good company vehicle which could hold a lot of people. It is affordable, and the reason most people turn to it is because it is a cheaper version of what they would really need. While there would be nothing stopping you from opting out and considering other options, if you are running on a tight budget, this might be the only option worth considering. Again, the safety issues ruin the overall concept of what this van was supposed to do, but granted, there are features which just make it an appealing option. Mass transportation, a solid engine and a lot of features which might suit the needs of the people being transported are all features of a good vehicle.

Furthermore, the vehicle can be improved with the large number of upgrade packages, so that is definitely another plus. Besides the engine, all of the upgrades are mostly related to the way the van visually appeals to the driver, so not much performance boosts can be expected out of the upgrades. It still makes a good purchase, though, and many drivers define it as a solid van which can serve its purpose properly. Most of them will point out that the safety overlooking was definitely not something which helped the Ford E-350. Keep in mind that this series is still in production, even after 53 years, and some of the other models could be able to overcome the safety issue.
