The fact that Chrysler is all set to give a diesel engine to Jeep Wrangler, it is only natural for new Bronco to have a diesel engine. This is an opportune time for Ford to design a diesel engine and test the waters with Jeep selling every unit that it is manufacturing these days.  The success of its off road entrant named F-150 Raptor has given the additional encouragement to Ford to think of reviving Bronco. Under the hood

Bronco is as good under the hood as it is from the outside. In fact, it has the latest features and state of the art technology to make bronco a marvel on road. It is fitted with a 2 liter turbo cooled diesel engine to give unmatched power and performance. This engine has already been tested by Ford in its Mondeo. It makes use of common rail fuel injection technology to provide high power and torque despite giving a great mileage. This engine is called Duratorq TDCi and it gives 128HP of power with a maximum torque of 244 foot-pounds. There is also a feature called overboost that raises maximum torque to 258fps for a short time when you need a burst.
