The 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will entrench the brand’s name in the market

The new-generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-class will be defined by the newly expected 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe that has been blueprinted as a complete prototype. The car’s looks are nearly imparted from the penultimate C-class sedans, but there are unique lines, with a stunning sculpting. The rear portions consist of original blend of trunk lid and cargo hood that conceals the actual shape of the car. This will be a joyous breakthrough for those who are conversant with the whole proportions and styling motifs highlighted in the earlier models.

Outside, the sumptuous profile is defined by skinny rear-lights and a frontal-end that is akin to sedan variants. In all respects it shows a dichotomy with earlier models upon close inspection, though the distinct design language harkens that of its bigger brother.  The first contradistinction is observable in the front, with similar shape for the headlamps and grille but the emblem is larger. The B-pillar will be furtive but sides will have the same surface and proportions. The rear will still be mounted with slender rear lights and the number plate repositioned in the bumper.

The 2016 C-class will have a sloping roof while it will suffer less claustrophobia compared to the pioneer generation as its wheelbase is longer and the interior richly packaged. Almost every detail like wood trim and leatherette wrapping will be retained in the model like its antecedents. Since it will come with manual transmission, the instrumental panel will be in the same design but with more room for stick shifting, but there will be an automated transmission as well.

The centerpiece of the new C-class will be the Modular Rear Architecture platform; this will see it undercut weight up to 220 pounds in contrast with the first generation, based on the mill and trim level. Thanks, as aluminum and strong steel is used to give less weight while not compromising safety. With a whole turbocharged mill lineup with four, six and eight cylinders, the new coupe will give less fuel consumption in contrast to its antecedent models. In Europe gasoline as well as diesel engines will be provided, the range mirroring sedans and wagon variants. For transmissions, it will come with both a 6-speed manual and a seven-speed automated. This will be transposed by a 9-speed automated in the RWD versions.

For safety features, the 2016 C-class Coupe will come with multiple airbags strategically ensconce to dissipate impacts during corrosions, cruise control, driver aids like the Blind Spot Monitoring, lane departure signaling and automatic-responsive braking system.

When it hits the market, the coupe will come in varying trim levels, standard features and optional packages for customization are expected to be on the bleeding edge. The C-class will embrace the salient technical features like the 4MATIC AWD as standard and air suspension. The price tag will be akin to that of its previous models, it will get the loyal enthusiasts foot it as they know what it offers exclusively, a luxury dearth in its rival models.
