As the US auto marketplace is known to stock plethora crossovers that are substantially bought by the local buyer, the 2015 Lexus NX is meant to tap into this trend. The manufacturer has had a long lull in the luxurious segment; this model will come as an influential sale pitch for its new lineup. Lacking immunity against possible oblivion in a crowded market, this Lexus will lock horns with already established models like theVolvo XC60, Mercedes Benz GLK, Audi Q5, Cadillac SRX and BMW X3. To standout from the multitude, Lexus leans heavily on design eschewing quasi-box utilities, embraces a standard turbo four-cylinder mill, a sporty-tuned chassis and steering that ignites amazing performance.


The 2015 Lexus NX is available in twin models, the standard 2.0-Liter four-cylinder unit NX-200t that churns out 235 horsepower and mates to a six-speed automated transmission alongside a 194 ponies NX300 hybrid that will capture a small section of the market segment targeted. The models come with frontal and all-wheel-drive, but the Hybrid lacks the all-wheel-drive mechanism that spews torque to all wheels and transposes it with a 67 hp electric unit on the back wheels intermittently. Though handling and use of electric power is impeccable, wringing out sufficient output from the standard turbocharged mill entails aggressive driving. The Lexus utility cars NX versions will introduce edgy styling, focusing on its facial highlights, with a humongous spindle grille, slim headlamps, overly aggressive low air dam, fender sculpting and discrete LED active lights. This shape is imparted in the LED rear-lights, with the tail-end bearing close resemblance to the bigger Lexus RX. In a nutshell, this creates the standout point from all angular standpoints, the NX counter-balancing the spiky, chiseled, meaty look by a sleek, swoopy roofline and consummated by bulgy wheels.   Inside, the NX treads on a sporty, more quasi-cockpit styling and aesthetical impeccability. The sporty thrones feature a hip point at a lower point compared to average crossovers to ignite a sedan driving feel while expanding headroom space. The dash layout mirrors that adopted in the Lexus IS sedan models, metallic accents are darker and larger, suppler oval gauges.  Being 183 inches long, it straddles in the compact utility and mainstay’s luxury lineups. On the safety features side, the NX presents hosts of active components, including complete-speed versatile cruise control and its blind spot monitoring comes with back cross-traffic alert. The heads-up display and eight air bags are offered as standard. The NX came with loads of advanced changes, offering cordless gadgetry charging that notches the unveiling of a new-generation Lexus Remote Touch Interface incorporating a touchpad, haptic feedback and pad capabilities that enable you pinpoint letters in a similar vein to that in the Audi and Mercedes Benz autos.  If you are excited by the Lexus NX or have a penchant for the manufacturer’s portfolio it will come with trim levels and copious optional packages at consumer-friendly prices those these are surreptitious momentarily. With that being said the NX has a sanguine future ahead of it but will have to encounter equally appealing Germanic crossovers.
