The 2015 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is a by-product of the auto-maker in a bid to capture the market segment that has been dominated by BMW and Audi as it is offered at affordable price tag. It is a newer edition that features twin doors to distant it from the previous models. This car has faced the knife for its face-lifting substantially and will come with a slew of plushy packages that are provided in the CTS-V Coupe. In line with the automaker, this edition model is being used as a bridge from the current-generation model to the brand new sedan that is under construction.

With trivial styling refinements on the CTS-V, the model mimics its forefathers to a great extent, except for the rims that are available in a special Satin Graphite polish and are juxtaposed by red brake calipers. There will be three exterior colors, Crystal white, Black Diamond as well as Phantom Gray. Though suffering a serious dearth of novelties, the CTS-V coupe has retained its attractive cues, with muscular contours and supple appearance, both perked up with a suspension mounted lowly in contrast to the sedans.

Life on-board is an illustrious cabin ensemble, the rear and frontal seats feature Recaro performance. The interior is also equipped with microfiber suede-coated steering wheel and shift paddle alongside a set of metallic pedals. Besides, the 2015 CTS-V Coupe will also be offered with a unique Ebony interior spruced up with red contrast interweaving and Midnight Sapele wood finish. There is a sun roof option that allows occupant’s to enjoy the rays of the sun. Like the outgoing model, the new edition will come with heated, multiple-way power seats, back instrumental panel with twin cup-holders while the steering wheel is mounted with various controls for StabiliTrak, infotainment, and traction knob.

When the hood is open, the hallmark of the CTS-V is a 6.2-liter eight cylinder engine reinforced on top with a 1.9-L Eaton supercharger. Notwithstanding this, the mill is capable of generating 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of twist, which outstrips many rivals on the performance scale. The engine is mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual and alternatively a Hydra-Matic 6-speed automated, the engine catapults the coupe from zero to 60 mph within four seconds and achieves a benchmark speed of 180mph.  Additionally, the new edition is offered standard with Cadillac Magnetic Ride Control mechanism and Brembo brakes all over. Far from its finest point, fuel economy checks in at 12mpg city/18mpg hwy with automated transmission and 14 mpg/19 mpg hwy with the manually-operable gearbox.

With its subtle design, the CTS-V Coupe also gives immense power. However, it stands the challenge of trailing behind its German rivals and the new extras are insufficient to help in that end. The good news is the manufacturer is poised to gain as it has its edge in high-performance, high-tech features and a more contemporary design. It is a perfect alternative for those seeking a class-exclusive model with more power and pocket-friendly price.
